About the Event

The Leaders at Heart are a unique group of ambassadors for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation. They have teamed up for a fourth year with the Blue Cactus Bar and Grill, Luxe Bistro and Stella Osteria for a fundraiser that will be yet again bursting with value. Spearheaded and hosted by Ida Firestone and her teams at each of the three restaurants, this event will offer a new location, look and feel while raising money for the Heart Institute. Guests will be treated to a marvelous sampling of exquisite wines and food. It will also offer a great opportunity to network. The 2007, 2008 and 2009 events were tremendous successes quickly selling out and have raised a combined total of over $170,000 for the Institute. Reserve your tickets quickly and treat your spouse, a friend or some special client to an exclusive evening in support of the Heart Institute.

The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is Canada’s largest and foremost cardiovascular health
centre dedicated to understanding, treating and preventing heart disease. Under the inspired leadership of President and CEO Dr. Bob Roberts, the Heart Institute has made extraordinary strides in transforming its patient care facilities and expanding its research efforts, particularly in the area of the genetics of heart disease.

Through events like these, the members of the Leaders at Heart, on behalf of the Heart Institute,
have endeavored to spread Dr. Roberts’ message of hope that “It is possible” to end heart disease this century and generate funds in support of this inspiring goal. We invite you to help “Make it possible” by supporting this event through the purchase of tickets and sponsorship.
