RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide psychological services to patients in Prevention and Rehabilitation including assessment, diagnosis, group and individual treatment, as well as consultation
  • Coordinate clinical psychology services with HIPRC team members

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Doctorate in Psychology from a CPA or APA accredited psychology program from a university of recognized standing
  • Registered, or eligible for registration as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Declared area of competency in adult Clinical, Health or Rehabilitation Psychology
  • Experience doing psychodiagnostic assessment and treatment in medical patients with co-morbid psychological/psychiatric conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications (e.g. SPSS)
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise/lead/coach/mentor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French (Level A-)
  • Supervision experience of practicum students and residents in psychology
  • Two (2) years experience in one or more areas of specialization such as clinical, health, or rehabilitation psychology
