Research and Clinical Interests

Dr. Davis is exploring novel strategies to enhance the regenerative capacity and retention of these cardiac progenitor cells. Additional research interests include the molecular basis of cardiac rhythm and conduction, which he is examining using methods ranging from molecular genetic approaches to cell biology and integrative physiology. These cell and gene therapies will combine discovery and validation work in animal models with the ultimate goal of translation into clinical practice.
