Overview

Dr. Jean-François Marquis is Director of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Some of his academic appointments include Full Professor at the University of Ottawa and Member of the Pediatrics Cardiology consulting team at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Background

Dr. Marquis obtained his Medical Degree from Laval University, Quebec City, in 1977. He completed his clinical training in Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and Toronto General Hospital in 1983, as well as his Fellowship in Internal Medicine and Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).

He has contributed to more than 60 publications, 45 presentations, 100 abstracts and two book chapters, and has been awarded more than 45 peer-reviewed research grants.
