Dr. Pablo Nery is Staff Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is also an active teacher at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.


Dr. Nery was educated in Brazil and received his Medical Degree from the Pontifical Catholic University in Porto Alegre one of the leading cardiology institutions in Brazil. After completing Internal Medicine training, he spent three and a half years training in cardiology, including one and a half years dedicated to cardiac electrophysiology, also at the Pontifical Catholic University. He then completed a two-year Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, focusing on catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias.

He sits on the Education Committee of the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society.
