Doucet, Claude

Claude Doucet is secretary general at the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). He is responsible for the secretariat function of the commission, as well as finance, human resources, information management and technology (IM/IT). 

Claude obtained his Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from Laurentian University in 1991 and his Certified General Accountant designation in 1996.

Claude is a seasoned senior executive in the federal government with close to 30 years of experience in corporate management, communications and policy development. He developed expertise in broadcasting and regulatory policy, as well as social media and client services at both the CRTC and Canadian Heritage. He has also promoted and planned communications for high-profile events such as the development of the logo for Canada’s 150th anniversary, the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the 2015 Pan-American Games, and Royal tours.  

From 2009 to 2015, he served as an observer on the board of MediaSmarts, a Canadian not-for-profit charitable organization for digital and media literacy.
