The Ottawa Heart Research Conference (OHRC) co-located with the International Toronto-Ottawa Heart Summit (TOHS) in 2016. In addition, the Eastern Ontario Cardiovascular Summit (EOCS), partnered with the TOHS, and co-hosted a clinical day on June 3rd.

These combined conferences offered unmatched bench to bedside educational and networking experiences.

4th Annual Ottawa Heart Research Conference: Steadying the Future of Atrial Fibrillation

The Ottawa Heart Research Conference (OHRC) assembled key leaders for discussions on major advances in research, treatment and prevention of atrial fibrillation (AF) and featured distinguished faculty from across Canada, US and Europe.  Topics such as primary prevention of AF, atrial remodelling and rotors, genetics underpinnings of AF, relationship to stroke and demystifying ablation were discussed.

19th International Toronto-Ottawa Heart Summit

The annual TOHS conference brings together the most exciting advances in cardiovascular disease and related multidisciplinary conditions, from treatment to prevention, and innovation to application.  To enhance the learning experiences, the meeting featured lectures and panel discussions that fostered interaction between faculty and participants.

June 3 -Clinical Day For Specialists

The EOCS partnered with the Toronto-Ottawa Heart Summit to host a Clinical Day for Specialists on Friday, June 3rd. The EOCS entered it’s 15th consecutive year and this partnership brought an outstanding educational opportunity to all conference participants.

This day was designed to transmit knowledge and facilitate patient access to specialized cardiac care.
