Arterial Ulcer

  • Characterized by: deep pale, well defined margins, thin shiny skin, thickened nails, uneven hair distribution, temperature variation of limb, elevational pallor, dependent rubour, absence of bleeding, necrosis, pain
  • Locations are: pressure points between toes, tips of toes, lateral malleolous, metatarsal heads, sides / soles of feet
  • Can be indicative of diabetes or occlusive disease
