Patients are referred by their physician to the Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy Clinic at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) if they have been diagnosed with Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy and require treatment or follow up, or if they suspect the condition is present and are experiencing symptoms.
What to expect
Your doctor must refer you to the clinic. Prior to coming in for your appointment, expect to have some tests ordered. You will receive information from the clinic regarding any special preparations.
The clinic will contact you regarding scheduling for any tests and to confirm your appointment.
