The University of Ottawa Heart Institute and its regional partners present the Ottawa Heart Research Conference: Emerging Pathways in Cardiovascular Disease.
In honour of the lifetime contributions of retiring scientists Dr. Yves Marcel and Dr. Ross Milne, an international panel of scientists will present their latest findings in atherosclerosis, genetics and lipid metabolism.
This accredited one-day conference will provide a unique opportunity to interact with key cardiovascular scientists from across North America and beyond. Plenary sessions will be followed by open discussion and networking opportunities.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Yves Marcel and Dr. Ross Milne will present honorary lectures highlighting their lifetime research.
Presentation topics will include: microRNAs in lipoprotein metabolism and atherosclerosis, genetic contributors to cardiovascular disease, macrophage biology and the role of inflammation in the vasculature.
This inaugural conference in Ottawa is hosted in conjunction with the Heart Institute’s annual Research Day, to be held on May 14, 2013 on the UOHI campus. All conference attendees are invited to attend at no additional cost.
