Topic
Molecular Mechanisms of Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis and Calcification Conferred by a Short Deletion in IRF2BP2
IRF2BP2 keeps interferon-inducible genes silent in cells absent inflammation. A 9-nucleotide deletion in the 3' UTR of IRF2BP2 mRNA increases the risk of coronary artery atherosclerosis and calcification in men. Here, we explore possible mechanisms.
