Cardiac Imaging Department Completes Successful Quality Improvement Audit

November 7, 2019

The University of Ottawa Heart Institute’s Cardiac Imaging Department successfully completed an accreditation audit from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

The IAC programs for accreditation are dedicated to ensuring quality patient care and promoting healthcare, and they support one common mission: improving healthcare through accreditation.

The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is now the only site in Canada to be accredited in three or more imaging modalities: Cardiac CT, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Positron Emission Tomography (PET).

This demonstrates our commitment to the highest quality standards recognized internationally and personifies the Institute’s goal to provide world-class care to our patients.

Congratulations Cardiac Imaging!
