Heart Institute scientist contributes to research published in New England Journal of Medicine

The Cardiovascular Research Methods Centre at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, led by George Wells, PhD, is the coordinating centre for a randomized controlled trial recently published in one of the world’s leading medical journals, the New England Journal of Medicine.

Wells et al conclude catheter cryoablation, more so than antiarrhythmic drug therapy, is associated with sustained, positive effects on AF progression in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
