James Annis is Chair of the Board of Directors of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.

James is a Wealth Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager with a 21-year track record providing comprehensive wealth advisory services to individuals, families, and businesses in Ottawa and across Canada.

After the sudden loss of his youngest son at just 20 months due to heart disease, James was motivated to give back to the community in the most meaningful way he could. He began volunteering at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation in 2018 and has served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and co-Chair of the Joint Investment Advisor Committee from June 2019 to June 2023. James began his current role as Chair of the Board of Directors of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation in June 2024.
