Patients, their families and caregivers, and community partners are invited to learn about cardiac rehabilitation research outputs related to physical activity, mental health, personal relationships, and smoking cessation in a fun and interactive format. Features of the event include engaging speaker presentations, a patient moderated Q+As, educational booths, and a Nordic walking demonstration.

Intended audience

This event is open to patients, their families and caregivers as well as community partners.

Agenda

  • 7:30 p.m.: Plain-language research presentations followed by moderated Q+As
  • 8:15 p.m.: Educational booths on the cardiac rehabilitation track

None.

Location

  • Research presentations: Hybrid event: In-person at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (40 Ruskin Street) in the Centre Auditorium or virtually via Zoom.
  • Educational booths: In-person at the UOHI on the cardiac rehabilitation track

Street parking is free starting at 7 p.m.
