The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) is pleased to partner with the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) to provide clinical oversight for its local Cardiac Sonography (Echocardiogram) Program. Dr. Steven Promislow of UOHI will assume the lead as the program’s medical director.
In a release posted yesterday on the PRH website (in English only), Dr. Promislow is quoted as saying his fellow clinicians [at UOHI] are happy to maintain this service in Pembroke, adding that, “The quality of the studies [in Pembroke] is excellent, the product is great, and the need is great.”
Cardiac sonography is a diagnostic test involving ultrasound of the heart.
