The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI), like The Ottawa Hospital and others across the region, implemented a COVID-19 vaccination policy for everyone working in the hospital environment in compliance with the provincial government directive.
As of November 1st, 2021, all staff, medical staff and learners are required to have been fully immunized with an approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment at the UOHI.
In addition, third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available in the coming weeks for Ontario health-care workers who are eligible.
We are pleased to offer our patients and their families a safe environment and urge them to seek immediate care in a medical emergency.
