Ms. Quirouette has been the driving force behind several major innovations in research operations for the Mir and Mullen Research Labs. She has created and streamlined systems that have transformed program operations. In the words of her supervisors, “Her professionalism, judgment, and commitment to quality are unmatched.”
For example, Ms. Quirouette developed MirLab and web/social media recruitment strategy, reaching over 178,000 people and generated 500+ qualified leads, most of which led to research participant enrolment. She has also supported partners in setting up their own recruitment campaigns at UOHI and McGill University. These innovative strategies have fundamentally changed how the teams she supports recruit, communicate, and disseminate their work.
Ms. Quirouette is a driver of high staff retention through effective onboarding and leadership, clear workflows and SOP optimization, efficiency and quality. She has built efficient inter-departmental pathways by working closely with clinical teams to streamline referrals, patient hand-offs, research summaries, patient materials, and clinic staff presentations. She provides mentorship, coaching, and problem-solving support to staff and trainees, many of whom credit her for their successful integration into clinical research.
Furthermore, she oversees more than ten active RCTs, throughout which she “models trials best practices daily.” She actively contributes to grant submissions, strategic planning, committees and presentations that raise the visibility of UOHI’s research enterprise.
Ms. Quirouette’s work strengthens not only the Mullen and Mir labs, but also the broader culture of research excellence at UOHI.
