Golian, Mehrdad

Mehrdad Golian, MD, is a cardiologist and invasive electrophysiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Background

Dr. Mehrdad Golian completed his medical school training, and internal medicine and cardiology residencies at the University of Manitoba. Subsequently, Dr. Golian completed his fellowship training in electrophysiology at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto where he was highly regarded for his clinical and EP skills, as well as caring interactions with patients and staff. He completed a Master of Science in health care quality and patient safety at Queen's University. He is currently the quality officer at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, the acting director of the Adult Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program, and the director of the Atrial Fibrillation Clinic.

Research and clinical interests

Dr. Golian's academic interests are patient safety and quality improvement. His clinical interests include complex ablations and complex device implants.
